mental imprisonment

Going back to when I was a teen, I grew up around the ghetto. Criminals, thieves, just people up to no good. This is what I was surrounded by. At the same time, just because someone is surrounded by negativity, doesn’t mean you have to follow what other people are doing. Be a leader and lead your own charge, lead your own future, lead your own legacy. You don’t have to be in jail to be doing time!

In school I knew a lot of people who used to be bullied. The bully would take their food, take their school work, and pretty much take their pride. Just steal their hearts like a thief in a dark foggy night. It hurt to watch them feel so worthless. Not having the heart or the courage to stand up for themselves. In school i was pretty shy, so I didn’t really conversate with anyone. I was just concerned on getting good grades and, making my family proud. I never had to deal with someone taking anything from me, because I’ve always stood up for myself. You don’t have to be in jail to be doing time.

Mental abuse is the worst thing in the world. It’s like someone has you on a string like a puppet, and every time they move a string that’s how you move. Making them feel so empty inside. Listening to everything they may have to say, even though you already know everything that you are hearing may not be the truth. It’s just to control you and make you feel like they are right every time. You don’t have to be in jail to be doing time.

  1. The things you encountered as a child up to adult hood makes you a better person. I'm glad you decided to be as sweet as you are.
